The New Sabreline 42 is offered as standard in a
fly bridge sedan with both a lower and an upper helm station. A side door is provided
at the lower helm for easy access to the side deck. When piloting from the lower helm,
her large windshield is shaded by a distinctive visor and three windshield wipers to
prevent rain from interfering with your vision. On the command bridge, two adjustable
helm and mate's chairs are provided. Aft of these seats to port is an L-shaped settee
with a table. An optional mast is available for the radar array and electronics antenna.
On the foredeck is mounted a rope chain windlass with lockers to either side and a
rope/chain locker on centerline. Wide side decks with large diameter hand rails make
safe and secure your passage from the bow to the cockpit. Stainless steel hand rails
are always placed where they are needed aboard a Sabreline motoryacht. Her side decks
are recessed down, aft of the sliding helm door and the next step to the cockpit is
part of the side deck as well. The sole of the 100 square foot cockpit is almost
entirely clear of steps and clutter. Three large hatches provide access to the
lazarette space beneath the cockpit sole. An inward opening transom door leads
to the swim platform aft where a stainless steel swim ladder is provided. An
optional extended swim platform is available for dinghy storage. The Sabreline
42 is also available with an extended hard top which covers the aft cockpit of
the yacht. This feature has become increasingly popular both in warm and cold
climates: in warm so that the crew can relax in the shade of the hardtop and
in the cold so that an enclosure can be fitted to
make the cockpit an extension of the interior accommodations of the yacht.

With the introduction of the Sabreline 47 in 1996,
Sabre redefined a style of motoryacht. At one time, a "downeast motoryacht"
described a modified version of a workboat, converted for use as a private
yacht. These designs included many famous fishing trawler and lobster boat hulls.
Their flat shear line and flaring bows introduced the handsome, conservative
and rugged look which has now become the "downeast style." Designed for comfort
in rough, offshore conditions, yet capable of smooth running at top speeds of
over twenty knots, these modified deep-vee hulls quickly gained popularity as
they earned a reputation for reliability and seaworthiness.
The Sabreline 47 is the fourth in a range of Sabreline designs first
introduced in 1989. The 47 will impress you with her cruising comforts and
responsive performance. The Sabreline 47 is the supreme embodiment of a "downeast motoryacht".
